The Thrift Shop will be open this week Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:30 am-4pm

Soup Kitchen – The Portage Soup Kitchen is a much needed service utilized by many in our communities. It is run entirely by volunteers and relies on the generosity of the community. After a Covid shut down the Soup Kitchen reopened in July. They are looking for financial donations. If you would like to donate you can make the cheque out to St. Mary’s mark Soup Kitchen on the memo line and we will pass it along.

Christian Meditation Wednesday at 7 pm either by Zoom watch your in box or in person in the Church.

Bible Study Friday at 3pm via Zoom watch your inbox for the invitation.

Furnishings Needed: A new refugee family is coming from Lebanon we hope some time in October. Dad and Mom are both 39, and the three boys are 16,14, and 9.  Dad is the brother of Iftikar Al Houlani. Iftikar and her family were our first refugee family to arrive in Portage.

So, in the furnishing department we need: 

Sofa

Love seat

Living room chair

4 beds: 1 Queen, 1 double, and 2 single (or 3 single would be fine too)

2 bedside tables

Book shelves

Desk

Washer

Dryer

We would be grateful if those donating could hold on to their item until pick up day, as we don’t have a central depot and don’t want to move things twice.
